Strava Integration
Hammy connects to your Strava account to read your running activity data — including distance, duration, and frequency — and uses it to power your hamster's progression.
How to connect Strava
- Open Hammy and go to Settings
- Tap "Connect Strava"
- Log in to your Strava account and authorise Hammy
- Your running activities will begin syncing automatically
How to disconnect Strava
- Open Hammy and go to Settings
- Tap "Disconnect Strava"
- Alternatively, revoke access from Strava's My Apps settings
What data does Hammy access?
- Running activities only (distance, duration, date)
- Data is used solely to calculate in-app XP and character progression
- We do not access your routes, maps, segments, or social data
- We do not share your Strava data with third parties
Account & Data
Requesting data deletion
You can request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing support@hammy.run. When you disconnect your Strava account, all associated Strava data is removed from our systems. If you delete your Hammy account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't my Strava activity syncing?
Make sure your Strava connection is active in Settings. Only running activities are synced — cycling, swimming, and other activity types are not imported. If the issue persists, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Strava account.
Can I use Hammy without Strava?
Yes. Strava is optional. You can track runs directly in Hammy using your device's GPS, and your hamster will progress the same way.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings and tap "Delete Account", or email us at support@hammy.run. All your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
